small children can be assured of an enjoyable 'onsen' trip.

Let's Take a Family Trip!

Dinner and breakfast will be served in your room. We can provide plates, utensils, and seats for the children, as well as disposable paper aprons.

If you would like to use these items, please contact our staff. (Free of charge)

Private Outdoor Baths for Families
We have two outdoor baths, the Kaede and the Sakura, both of which are naturally formed from rocks and are large enough for 5-6 people (30 m2).

Both baths have their own shower stalls, baskets for clothes, and baby beds. Please make reservations for these baths at the front desk.

*Hours of operation: 15:00-22:45, 07:00-08:45
Rates: 2,000yen per 45 minutes (starting on the hour)

Indoor Swimming Pool
Our indoor swimming pool (10 x 4m) is available for our guests all year round. The water temperature is adjusted in accordance with the season. Families and couples can enjoy the pool.

In addition, bathing suits, bath towels, pool toys, and swimming gear are available at the front desk. (Free of charge)

The Picture Book Corner is located in the rear of the lobby and contains more than 1,500 picture books.

This Corner can also be used by our guests for relaxation and socializing. A sofa and cushions are available for families to use.

Japanese Style 'Karaoke' Room
The karaoke room is large enough for about 10 people (18 m2) and is equipped with a karaoke system featuring a dynamic 43-inch screen. The room is also equipped with a massage chair, baby bed, picture books, and toys for your family's added enjoyment. A selection of 100,000 songs from around the world is available including animated nursery songs for children to enjoy with their family. (3,500yen/hour).

Families and couples can enjoy billiard games. Beginners who are not familiar with the rules of billiards or the use of a cue can request assistance at our front desk. We have staff available to provide free lessons for beginners. (1,200yen/hour).

Although Arima Onsen is located in the City of Kobe, the evening skies are crystal clear.
Why don't you search for stars with your family? You can identify them by using our illustrated book of star constellations that is located in the Picture Book Corner.

Electric Pot
An electric pot capable of reaching 60 degrees C. is available in each room. If your baby cries for warm milk, this pot is readily available. (Free of charge)

The microwave oven next to the Picture Book Corner can be used to warm baby foods or sanitize baby milk bottles. We have placed plastic wrap nearby. Please feel free to use it. (Free of charge)

Children's Bathing Stool
We have children's bathing stools in the indoor and outdoor hot spring baths, and private family outdoor baths.

Please feel free to use them.

Children's Bathing Set

Baby Stroller
We have two outdoor baby strollers and two indoor baby strollers (buggy) for your use. They can be used for walking outside the ryokan area, or used within the premises. (Free of charge)

Children's Course
We have developed a new children's menu. The food eaten during infancy is extremely important and closely related to brain function and growth. We have incorporated unpolished rice, which is considered good for one's health, and cereals to our meals in devising a menu with high nutritional value that has a beneficial effect on the brain.

Infant Food

We can arrange meals for infants. You can select from Okayu (rice porridge), Ojiya (Japanese risotto), or Udon (Japanese noodles) (600yen each). Please make your selection when making your room reservations. (This is not baby food for the weaning period.)

Weaning Ceremony (O-kuizome-shiki)
To pray for your child's healthy growth and not having to worry about food for the rest of his or her life, we can prepare food for a Weaning Ceremony (O-kuizome-shiki). We have meal sets for boys and girls (8,000yen/set). Please make reservations at least 3 days in advance.

Children's Yukata and 'Jimbei'
To make your children's onsen trip more enjoyable, we have children's yukata(a Japanese style robe or cotton kimono). For active children we recommend the 'jimbei' type (kimono style pajamas). Both types are available in blue or pink. Children who are staying for free can also rent a yukata or jimbei for 500yen each.

Children's Slippers
We have children's slippers with cartoon characters for indoor and outdoor use. You can select the design of your choice.

Baby Bed
We have 10 baby beds located throughout various parts of the ryokan: in the changing areas in the indoor and outdoor hot springs baths, in the private family outdoor baths, in the Picture Book Corner, in the massage machine room, and in the karaoke room.
